Whether you are an avid scuba diver or a first time jet skier you will find Grupo Mayan to be the destination for you.
Scuba diving is one of Mexico´s most popular sports. Many people come to Grupo Mayan resorts to dive in the tropical waters located off our coast. We offer certified dive instructors at each of our locations to guide you on some of the most exciting dives of your life. Divers will experience the underwater world like never before as they swim through sunken relics and see the many varieties of coral and fish that live off of our coasts. We have tanks onsite for guests who choose to bring their own equipment or we can outfit you with a full scuba kit.
If you are a first time diver you are in the right spot. The Grupo Mayan scuba instructors will give you an introductory lessen in scuba diving and take you on a dive in waters safe for beginners. These introductory classes and dives are a fantastic way to see if the sport is one that interests you.
Snorkeling is another favorite water sport of our guests. Our crystal clear lagoons are perfect for discovering all the many varieties of tropical fish that call our ocean waters home. The Grupo Mayan staff can direct you to the best spots to see amazing fish and exotic, colorful coral. You may bring your own snorkeling gear or use our gear while you are here.
Do you picture yourself skimming across the surface of the sea, jumping waves and feeling the warm ocean water spray across your body? If so, windsurfing is the water sport for you. All of our Grupo Mayan resorts offer windsurfing right from our beaches. We will provide the equipment and instruction; you supply the adrenaline!
Jet skiing and wave running - just the thing for our guests who like to live in the fast lane. Our jet skis and wave runners are professionally maintained and will give you the speed you need for a fun day on the water. For your safety, Grupo Mayan provides instruction in proper operation of the water craft and has the safety equipment you will need to prevent accidental injuries.
Swimming in our tranquil lagoons and along our golden sandy shores is a water sport enjoyed by all of our guests. The warm waters are crystal clear and great for a serene day on the water. A sunny day on a Grupo Mayan beach with a good book and a refreshing drink keeps many of our visitors coming back year after year.
